MEET TRUDY!

2019 PA Benefit Concert Tribute

Trudy Williams is a thirty-one year old Pottstown resident who lives with her parents, brother, and her adorable three year old daughter, Kolby Joy. Trudy was first diagnosed with breast cancer at age twenty-seven. At that time, she had a bilateral mastectomy accompanied by chemotherapy and was in remission, but found out in September of 2018 that the cancer had returned and spread. She underwent radiation and is currently on disability leave from Chestnut Knoll Assisted Living while she is receiving treatment at the Pottstown Cancer Center.

Trudy’s favorite thing to do is spend time with her daughter. She enjoys taking Kolby Joy to local events and activities with family and friends. Trudy shares that when she was initially diagnosed, she tried to do everything by herself, but now she understands how important it is to talk about your feelings. Living with cancer is not a journey a person needs to take alone. It is much more bearable when you lean on those who love you and allow them to be there for you. We welcome Trudy to our Wings of Hope family and are honored to support her as a tribute!
