ABOUT BARBARA

Barbara Dowell was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend. She loved people and could always be found surrounded by friends and loved ones. She treasured Christmas time, pool parties, singing and music, traveling and most of all, her grandchildren. Her grandchildren brought out the best in her and they adored their “Mom Mom”. She was mother to four children (Tricia, Brian, Drew & Matt) and remained very close with her sons, daughter and their families as well as her extended family in New York. Barbara loved to travel abroad with her husband George and to spend warm summer nights tending to all the plants in her garden.

Barbara Dowell had a long career working for Avon Products, Inc.; she took pride in a company that celebrated the accomplishments of women and encouraged them to work hard to fulfill their dreams. For twenty years she was a District Sales Manager, hiring many hundreds of representatives, guiding them along their way, inspiring them to success. She earned numerous honors during her time with Avon, including the “Circle of Excellence”.
